In a great demonstration of remote working efficiency, JTV editors located in Turin have been enabled to remotely access -via terminal server- the Etere Scheduling system on 3ZERO2 to directly manage playlists by viewing, inserting and modifying scheduled events. The ability to automatically import commercials playlist received from 3rd parties is another remarkable feature provided to JTV as it speeds up the scheduling process while ensuring on-air reliability.
Thanks to EtereWeb, local and remote users can access media content via web for real-time content search, retrieval, browsing and basic manipulation. As usual for all Etere solutions, the maximum security has been assured through the management of user rights to allow or deny access as well as specific functions such as browsing, download, copy, creation, etc. EtereWeb has facilitated the integration of NLE systems making media content accessible to editing stations while supporting full tracking of NLE and Archive transfers without requiring any additional hardware.
Content is acquired via SDI by Etere Ingest using preset layouts for a quick capture, and Etere Tapeless Reception allows file-based material to be uploaded through a secure web portal. Both ingest methods include a post-ingest workflow with QC, transcoding, long-term archiving.

Spectrum's MediaPorts are integrated to provide multi-format SDI ingest and fully redundant automation playout. Advanced graphics management with extended EPG are assured by Etere STMan, simultaneously controlling a fault-tolerant system of two Miranda LGK-3901.
Etere HSM hierarchically and intelligently controls the "Deep Archive" of one StorageTek SL3000 robotic digital tape library supporting 325 slots and 3 LTO5 drives (1,5TB capacity per LTO5 cassette), one Omneon MediaGrid and several Nearline HiRes&Proxy storages. A flawless management of media transfers between storage devices is performed by Etere Data Mover, which provides a superb timing and effectiveness for file copies and custom transcoding thanks to a workflow-based approach and concurrency capabilities.
Etere Memory has been provided to allow LaEFFE to reliably comply with the legal requirements on video logging, enabling the automatic digitization on hard-disk of either the entire 24hours programming broadcast or only specific time periods. Content is recorded using a WMV compression format and automatically maintained through deletion of old files. Recorded content is browsed from network and internet computers, enabling operators to tag content to facilitate future searches and partial video retrieval.
