Etere HSM is a tool to move and optimize video contents between different media while a data movement policy is applied to get the best compromise between cost and speed. Etere HSM manages all archives in a single integrated environment, supporting a mix of proprietary and/or industry file systems under a unified cockpit that provides all information on archives located both on-site and across multiple geographical locations.

LTFS is a standard in LTO writing that is in use together with EXF and AXF. With the addition of LTFS support, Etere can now manage a wide-ranging and mixed media library consisting of AXF, EXF and LTFS tapes all in co-existence.

LTFS is an open standard making data on tape in LTFS format that is not proprietary, thus enabling it to be read easily.

This LTFS upgrade is provided free and automatically to all of our customers. This aligns with our vision and commitment to provide our valued customers and partners with the leading technological solutions in the broadcasting and media industry.

Etere HSM is a powerful tool where multiple sets of media can be maintained, each with their own unique set of file retention and file management policies.

The Linear Tape File System (LTFS) enables easy viewing and access of tape files. LTFS works with LTO tape technology for easy and convenient open system tape storage usage. With LTFS, one partition holds the content, and the other holds the content's index, so the tape can be self-described to improve archive management. With the operating system’s graphical file manager and directory tree, utilizing data on an LTO Ultrium tape cartridge is as easy as dragging and dropping the file.
