Etere now supports Windows 7

02 February 2011

ETERE Announces the Release of its Version 21 that has been fully certified for the Microsoft’s Windows 7 Platform (32-bit and 64-bit version).

ETERE, a leading global provider of broadcasting solutions, communicates that since its new version, Etere 21, its products will provide full compatibility and support for Microsoft Windows 7, the latest release of Microsoft Windows, a series of operating systems produced by Microsoft for use on personal computers, including home and business desktops, laptops, netbooks, tablet PCs, and media center PCs.
Unlike its predecessor, Windows Vista, which introduced a large number of new features, Windows 7 was intended to be a more focused, incremental upgrade to the Windows line, with the goal of being compatible with applications and hardware which Windows Vista was not at the time.
Etere demonstrates, once again, that it goes hand in hand with technology, being one of the first broadcasting systems to assure complete support for the new Microsoft’s operating system. Following the ETERE successful certification for the new Windows 7 platform, Etere increases its list of supported operating systems that includes Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 R2 and now Microsoft Windows 7, both 32-bit and 64-bit version.
Together, Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 with SQL Server 2008, will provide a highly compelling solution for performance and high availability, as well as improved data security, that is another key requirement for any broadcasting solution; the combination of these platforms will provide end-to-end data protection to Etere systems, through a powerful set of encryption-based technologies.
