Etere 28.1 opens the doors to a new age of virtualization with fully compliant DVB streaming capabilities supported in both Etere ETX and ETX-M IP Multiviewer. With an Etere solution, there is no need for expensive hardware encoders. Etere is moving towards a fully virtualized system, empowering its users with the ability to manage playout, graphics, master switcher and encoder as a software-only solution, leading to reduced hardware reliance and better cost-efficiency.

Etere ETX is an integrated and cost-efficient channel-in-a-box that is fully based on IT technology. With the latest update, Etere ETX provides support for DVB streaming, expanding its features that include full IP in and out as well as ingest and playout of HD and SD digital video, audio and graphics. Etere users may also leverage on Etere ETX-M IP Multiviewer to manage multiple inputs of network and live video sources for a simultaneous broadcast from a single interface. It is capable of managing up to 9 display monitors and 30 input sources at any point of time.

A Complete Subtitle Management
Etere Subtitles Tool is an all-inclusive software that is able to manage all your closed and open captions requirements, including integration with newsroom and live captioning. In addition to DVB subtitling, Etere Subtitle Tool also supports ARIB closed captions. It comes equipped with Media Asset Management (MAM)
as well as support for all formats, frame rates for an effective and efficient management of multi-language subtitling across all platforms.

DVB Subtitling
DVB Subtitling renders individual characters into a bit-map image resulting in a multiplex signal of all video, audio, private data, service information and other subtitle languages to form an integrated DVB signal including text and timecode, which is transmitted as part of the station’s output transport stream to the viewer’s decoder. Unlike the character code-based teletext and US-style closed caption formats, DVB Subtitling has no restrictions on the number of languages that can be supported due to its delivery as a graphical bitmap.
