Multirio Renews its System with Etere ETX

Multirio has upgraded its playout facilities with the market-proven Etere ETX, Channel-in-a-Box. The project sees an extension of a decade-long partnership between Etere and Multirio.

Multirio renews its vote of confidence in Etere with an installation of Etere ETX at its Rio de Janeiro facility. Etere first installed Etere Ecosystem at Multirio in 2012. The latest expansion provides a software-centric Channel-in-a-Box featuring all the capabilities needed to bring a channel on-air.

Etere ETX is a 4K-ready digital ingest/playout software featuring professional video playout technology in Channel-in-a-Box software. The software supports full IP/NDI/SDI (in and out) for multiple frames rates. ETX enhances operational efficiencies with its simplicity, smaller footprint, and easy scalability. In addition, the system features a distributed architecture that allows fault-resilient performance and security. ETX is an integral part of the playout solution at Multirio. It empowers the station to scale easily and add playout channels quickly, as needed.

ETX is a field-proven software based on Etere's innovative software that provides next-gen workflows for the tight integration of information across cross-functional departments in a company. The software enables easy switching between SD and HD to meet demand. ETX is cloud compatible and supports virtualization. ETX users can have a virtual environment for an unlimited number of streams. Furthermore, ETX combines a graphics engine for up to 8 layers of graphics overlays such as animated logos, L-shape squeezes, crawls, and transition effects to enhance media playout. Graphics can be imported in any format and distributed to playout using Etere Media Manager. Not only that, a low-res copy is automatically generated for preview. Supported graphic files include TGA, AVI, MOV, SWF, PNG, JPEG, GIF.

Etere ETX is integrative with Etere Master Control that allows you to manage up to 6 TV channels from a touch-screen master control panel. It provides audio output control for PGM/PST and an integrated transition effects control panel.

Furthermore, it supports Etere ETX-M Multiviewer that enables the monitoring of unlimited media feeds and up to 9 sources concurrently on a single interface. ETX-M supports a mix of SD, HD, and Ultra HD source feed. In addition, with Etere ETX-M Multiviewer, users have a live view of the next event display that previews what's playing next. It offers professional-quality multi-signal live preview and recording. ETX-M has an integrated automated Loudness Control that corrects transmission volume errors and prevents excessive audio jumps.
