13 June 2018Etere HSM announces its support for LTO8 which doubles storage capacity with a 20% increase in performance over its predecessor.
Etere HSM supports the latest in tape technology with LTO8. LTO8 delivers the most advanced tape technology with more than 30TB of compressed capacity and up to 750 MB/s of data transfer rates. It continues to support partitioning for features such as Linear Tape File System (LTFS), paving the way for an easy tape management. Etere HSM allows users to mix different file systems and archival technologies, providing them with the flexibility and option to customize their media library to fit their requirements.
